Badri / Pahadi cow is a native cow species of Uttarakhand.
This cow grazes in the Himalayas on native herbs and shrubs and hence its milk has high medicinal value. This breed requires minimal care and is blessed with strong immunity.
Badri breed was recently listed under accession no. INDIA_CATTLE_2400_BADRI_03040 by ICAR- National Bureau of Animal Genetic Resources (NBAGR).
Hetha is working towards the propagation and conservation of the Badri cow in the Champawat district of Uttarakhand.

At Hetha, the male calf is treated with as much care as what a cow receives. Our bulls work in the fields, are used for breeding, their dung and gaumutra is used in agriculture and for making Panchgavya medicines.
Wheat, Rice and Millets are grown @ Hetha Bulandshahr using Gaumutra/Dung. Hetha Nandishala farm is certified organic by ECOCERT.
